Dreaming Duffle by Amanda @thislambquilts

Hi, friends! This is the first in a series of posts I’ll be sharing to show off some fun and beautiful ways you can use the fabrics from my latest collection Dreaming now available at Hawthorne Supply Co.

This awesome duffle was made by Amanda @thislambquilts using a free pattern designed by Noodlehead.

Amanda chose a bright stack of my fabrics for this project that pop and bring me so much joy. I love seeing these designs come together in a way I hadn’t thought of before.

A Bit About Amanda

Amanda is an extremely talented sewist who offers gorgeous quilts and lovely, unique, high-quality quilted accessories in her shop. She is a master at mixing and matching prints on prints on prints and her end results are so fun and magical.

Thanks to “quiltstagram”, Amanda and I met by following each other and commenting on each other’s posts. We have similar interests, with quilting being one of the biggest, and I adore her unique style. I knew that she would make a project that could showcase my fabrics in a way I couldn’t.

Dreaming Fabrics

For this project, Amanda used mostly quilting cotton. She used Moonspell (in geranium) as the primary fabric for the body of the duffle and Morning Glories (in storm) as the bottom of the bag. For the outside pockets and the outside of the straps she used Overcast (in sky), then used Wax and Wane (in doe) for the inside of the straps. She also used Moonflower Trellis (in geranium) in a cotton canvas for the lining of the duffle.

Dreaming

This duffle made with fabric from my Dreaming collection is just one stellar example of how versatile the designs can be. Hawthorne Supply Co. offers my collection in over twelve substrates so the project possibilities are endless. Bags, quilts, clothing, accessories … whatever you can dream up.

The Dreaming fabric collection is available at Hawthorne Supply Co.
