Dreaming Dress by Francesca @noaestheticquilts
Hi, friends! This is the fourth in a series of posts I’ll be sharing to show off some fun and beautiful ways you can use the fabrics from my latest collection Dreaming now available at Hawthorne Supply Co.
This gorgeous dress was made by Francesca @noaestheticquilts using the Ogden Cami pattern with some of her own adjustments.
Francesca chose the hero print of the collection and found a perfect way to let it shine. This dress looks awesome and super comfortable.
A Bit About Francesca
Francesca is a quilter, marketer, multidisciplinary artist, and talented writer located in Massachusetts. She designs bold quilts and continues a family legacy of making exquisite garments. In addition to her No Aesthetic Quilts shop, she offers marketing and content strategy services for artists and makers. Francesca and I share a love for the DIY punk ethos and have dreams of creating a quilting/crafting/sewing zine someday … someday.
I met Francesca through the good old world of Quiltstagram. We’ve shared lots of comments and conversations and she tested a few of my quilt patterns for me. The Quilt Buzz ladies and I had the chance to meet her virtually during our podcast interview with her back in 2020.
Dreaming Fabrics
For this project, Francesca used Dreamscape (in geranium) printed on cotton linen. I designed this fabric with quilt backings in mind and am so pleasantly surprised by how perfect it works for a garment like this. These lovely photos were taken by Amy Coon of Milkcrate Studio.
Dreaming
This dress made with fabric from my Dreaming collection is just one gorgeous example of how versatile the designs can be. Hawthorne Supply Co. offers my collection in over twelve substrates so the project possibilities are endless. Bags, quilts, clothing, accessories … whatever you can dream up.
The Dreaming fabric collection is available at Hawthorne Supply Co.
